Chinese President Xi Jinping accepted credentials from the new ambassador of Afghanistan to China. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the national portal "Adyrna" reported. Ambassadors of 42 countries presented their credentials to Xi Jinping at a ceremony held on January 30 in the People's Assembly Hall. Among them is Bilal Karimi, who previously served as deputy press secretary of the Taliban government. Earlier, China became the first country to officially appoint a new ambassador to Afghanistan after the Taliban came to power.
