On May 17, Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev paid a state visit to the People's Republic of China. This was announced at the "Central Asia - China" forum held in Xi'an, China.
"Kazakhstan can become one of the attractive destinations for Chinese tourists. Intergovernmental agreement on visa-free travel for up to 30 days was signed. "This step will undoubtedly pave the way for a large number of tourists from China to come to our country," the head of state said at the Kazakh-Chinese round table.
He noted that new tourist destinations were being opened.
