Dmitry Peskov announced that the Kremlin would hold a military parade on Victory Day. "It's a sacred holiday for all Russians, and it has always been, and it always will be," he said.
Asked if the protesters were fighting in Ukraine and the invaders in Luhansk and Donetsk, he said he did not know who would march.
According to the Kremlin, preparations for this year's rally will end on May 7, and a military parade will take place on May 9.
