The first domestic flight was launched at Almaty airport after the riots, the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development said.
The passengers flew on the first flight Almaty - Nur-Sultan.
According to the committee, the airport is open 13 hours a day.
"Almaty International Airport will resume operations on January 13, 2022. According to the preliminary information of the airport management, domestic and international flights will be operated from 8.00 to 21.00,"
the statement notes.
