Dimash is a source of national pride, a global figure, a phenomenon. No matter how much we praise him, it is always well-deserved. Dimash is more than worthy of any admiration. When you observe his countless exceptional qualities, you might even think he is from another planet. We usually see people with many flaws, but Dimash, with his remarkable qualities, seems to have introduced a new, flawless version of a human being. How can we not be thrilled that this extraordinary talent, who unites the world with his music and makes a profound spiritual impact on people worldwide, comes from Kazakh soil? For every Kazakh who truly understands and appreciates him, that alone is a great joy and pride!
Just recently, Dimash held his "Stranger Tour" concert for two consecutive days at the largest venue in Astana, "Astana Arena." Over two days, he effortlessly attracted 70,000 people, including nearly 10,000 fans from over 80 countries. Even if Dimash had performed for ten days straight, the crowd would have filled the venue each time without a doubt. His fans' loyalty is unquestionable. During the concert, where songs in seven different languages were performed, the audience sang along in every language.
His Incredible Voice
Each of his concerts lasted over three hours, yet the audience wanted more. Dimash’s every piece is flawless, meaningful, and it’s not enough to call them just “songs”—each is a magnificent masterpiece. He can sing for hours without a single note out of place. His ability to perform complex pieces with ease reveals the mysterious, extraordinary powers of his voice. The limitless potential of his voice evokes deep emotions in the listener.
A Soul-Stirring Experience
Dimash's perfect voice reaches the deepest layers of your soul. Particularly, I noticed many foreign fans deeply moved during his performance. There were even some in wheelchairs, struggling with illness, but still attending with tears in their eyes. There’s a story that some people with serious illnesses recovered after attending his concert, and it seems to have some truth. As the saying goes, "Only what comes from the heart reaches the heart," and Dimash’s heartfelt singing is evident every time he steps on stage. He never sings superficially. With each performance, he pours his soul into delivering the deepest emotions to the audience, decorating every note with love and passion.
His Humility
"An artist can rise to great heights, but they are never above the people." Dimash often quotes this statement from the renowned statesman Kunaev, and he doesn’t just say it—he lives by it. He also remembers his father’s words: "Son, if you want people to respect you, always remain humble in front of them because you will never stand above the people." He bows deeply to his audience, always thanking them for respecting his art and attending his concerts.
A Strikingly Handsome Appearance
Dimash is a very handsome man. His stage outfits and hairstyle reflect his impeccable taste. His thick black eyebrows, straight nose, broad forehead, angular face, and tall figure only add to his appeal when he performs. His graceful movements highlight his perfect physique, making him shine even brighter before the audience.
Natural Stage Presence
It’s clear that Dimash was born for the stage. He seems like the child of the sacred stage. Using playback is something Dimash would never do, which is why his breathless talking after singing only adds to his charm. He is so free and genuine on stage that even when his shoe flew off while dancing, he made everyone laugh by joking, “I got a size too big so I can wear them again next year.” He even protected a cameraman from falling off a high platform by telling him, “Stand over here.” He masterfully interacts with the crowd, getting them to sing in chorus or having foreigners chant “Kazakhstan” for minutes on end. He often divides the audience into sections to compete in singing along with him. Interestingly, foreign fans seem to know Dimash’s songs better than some of his fellow Kazakhs. No matter what language he sings in, they always join in. This is contributing to the global interest in learning the Kazakh language.
His Dance Skills
His fast-paced dance moves sometimes bring to mind the legendary Michael Jackson, but Dimash has his own unique style. His fluid, plastic movements show the immense work and effort he puts into each performance. The dance troupe accompanying him is also extremely well-prepared, with separate dances and costumes designed for each composition. Dimash even performed stunts while singing, rising into the air several times or riding various moving vehicles during his performance. Yet, his dance moves never affect his vocal ability—he hits the high notes with ease.
“Love Will Save the World”
Dimash Kudaibergen is officially a UN Goodwill Ambassador. During his concert, he condemned war and expressed his desire for a world filled with peace. “I’ve visited many countries and met incredible people. There’s no such thing as a bad nation,” said Dimash. He conveyed this idea through his composition "The Story of One Sky," which speaks of peace, unity, and the interconnectedness of humanity. It calls for an end to war and the divisions between people. The song addresses themes of love, conflict, loss, and hope, urging for global cooperation and reminding us that we are all one big family living under the same sky. How can we not honor Dimash as a universal figure for all humanity?
Inspiring and Motivating
Those who attend Dimash’s concerts inevitably leave feeling inspired. Even his words during casual meetings leave a lasting impression on many. His speeches are filled with philosophy. He often meets with students and schoolchildren, offering advice and sharing his wisdom. We’ve seen many young people draw inspiration from Dimash. At his recent concert, even people who usually can’t stand for half an hour found themselves dancing on their feet for three hours straight, filled with energy. Many have achieved success in their careers and creative endeavors thanks to the motivation they received from his music.
His Work Ethic
Once, a fellow student named Hakim, who studied with Dimash at an art school in Astana, said, “Dimash was a very hardworking student. He would arrive at the school early and leave late, constantly rehearsing without rest.” Dimash has mastered many musical instruments, dances, and speaks several languages. He sings in various genres. All of this is the result of relentless hard work. He is a shining example of a person who strives for continuous development, and the fruits of that labor are evident to everyone!
Promoting National Values
Dimash plays a significant role in reconnecting Kazakh youth, who have strayed from their language, traditions, history, and culture, back to their roots. He doesn’t just inspire Kazakhs—he’s teaching foreigners to speak Kazakh too. He is the founder of the “Kazakh Language” society. At his recent concert, he presented video clips in English about the history of the dombra and kobyz. His respect for the Kazakh language, culture, and history is evident in every word he speaks. Though he sings in seven languages, he never forgets to perform his Kazakh songs abroad and even encourages foreign audiences to sing them. At one of his international concerts, his statement, “No matter how much I speak in other languages, I always return to my native tongue and bow before you as a proud Kazakh,” went viral on social media. This is a testament to his respect for his language. Dimash recently gave an interview to the renowned Euronews channel, saying, “My goal is not to make money or pursue commercial interests. I want to introduce Kazakh history and culture to the world. I’m proud to be Kazakh. Every Kazakh should know how to play the dombra. The dombra is our national instrument.” Dimash himself plays the dombra beautifully, performing Kurmangazy’s famous “Adai” piece with the skill of a master musician.
At the opening ceremony of the “5th World Nomad Games,” Dimash sang and then performed two four-hour concerts on consecutive days. This shows his deep sense of responsibility to his nation and state. Dimash’s concert brought 10-15 thousand foreign guests from 80 countries to Kazakhstan. These visitors left not only with memories of Dimash’s incredible performance but also with a deeper understanding of the rich heritage, nature, history, culture, and national sports of Kazakhstan and the nomadic people. Such a large-scale event in Astana had never been seen before.
How can we not be grateful to the grandparents, parents, and teachers who raised such a responsible and globally beloved artist?
A Grandmother’s Grandson
At the concert, Dimash thanked his grandmother and maternal grandmother in front of the crowd. “No one becomes great on their own. My grandma (he calls his grandmother “mama”) had leg pain, but despite that, she drove me to music school every day. For that, I am forever grateful,” he said in front of the whole audience. It was evident that his proud grandmother, overwhelmed with emotion, was thrilled to see her hopes and dreams come true. It’s as if Dimash’s success proves to the whole world what kind of person can emerge from a grandparent’s love and care. By the way, Dimash also expressed his gratitude to his grandmother in his interview with Euronews.
Conclusion:
A noble son never forgets his roots. The young Kazakh eagle has spread his wings and soared to global heights. This is the Dimash phenomenon. It’s his unique contribution to global spirituality. May Dimash’s future shine even brighter, and may his fame continue to rise! He is a great figure from Kazakhstan, a remarkable representative of humanity!
