She competed in the women’s team pursuit speed skating final alongside Han Mei and Yang Binyu, representing China, and outperformed their rivals. The winning team’s result was 3 minutes 02.75 seconds.
In this event, Japan won silver, while South Korea secured the bronze medal.
Aknar Adakkyzy is an ethnic Kazakh born in Kuitun County, Xinjiang, China.
