A young woman who speaks nine languages fluently lives in Pavlodar. The 11th-grade student now gives lessons to people who want to learn foreign languages. Her ability and passion for learning different languages from an early age have already brought her great success. As a result of her hard work, Aikhanim Okasova has bought an apartment in Astana. This was reported by Channel Seven TV, according to Adyrna.
Aikhanim’s interest in languages came from her mother. She first improved her Kazakh and then focused on English. Later, she became fond of French songs and developed a special love for that language.
“After French, free Korean language courses opened at the Youth Resource Center in Pavlodar. Even after the course ended, my interest in the language didn’t fade. It was my first experience dealing with hieroglyphs. After reaching a good level in Korean, I started learning Arabic, and after Arabic, I moved on to Chinese. Now I can speak Turkish and German fluently,” says Aikhanim.
She started learning foreign languages in the 6th grade. She learned many of them on her own through textbooks, video lessons, and direct communication.
“I used different materials. For example, I translated articles from Russian into Kazakh. I practiced translating from Arabic into Korean, from Korean into Arabic, from Chinese into English, and from English into Chinese. I also practiced a lot with native speakers. I found them online and kept in touch. I have many friends and acquaintances living abroad, and I practiced by talking with them,” the student says.
Her efforts have paid off. Today, Aikhanim speaks nine languages fluently and continues to improve her knowledge. For her, language is the main tool to understand different cultures and connect with people.
Currently, Aikhanim is still in school and also teaches foreign languages online. The young polyglot dreams of entering a prestigious foreign university and traveling around the world.
