Almaty-based Kairat goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov has been named among the best goalkeepers of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League group stage, reports the national portal Adyrna.

According to official statistics released by UEFA, based on the number of saves made by goalkeepers whose teams participated in the overall stage of the Champions League, Temirlan Anarbekov ranked among the leaders. After eight matchdays, he recorded 36 saves, finishing third overall among all participating goalkeepers.

The top spot in the rankings is held by Nikita Haikin, the Russian goalkeeper of Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt, with 49 saves. He is followed by Thibaut Courtois, the Belgian goalkeeper of Real Madrid, who made 41 saves. After Anarbekov come Gerónimo Rulli of Olympique de Marseille (36 saves) and Jindřich Staněk, goalkeeper of Czech club Slavia, with 34 saves.

It is also worth noting that Sherkhan Kalmurza, who played for Kairat in the first two matches of the Champions League group stage, made 11 saves.
