The number of Chinese companies registered in Kazakhstan has reached a record high since 2022, according to the First Credit Bureau, reports “Adyrna.”

“Between September 1 and October 1, a total of 307 legal entities and branches owned by Chinese nationals were registered, bringing the overall number to 7,100. This is the highest growth recorded in at least the last three and a half years, since January 2022. The record reflects the rapid expansion of Chinese business presence in Kazakhstan. The number of companies originating from China has been increasing for four consecutive months. Over the past 1.5 years (except January 2025, when only 98 were registered), at least 100 new Chinese companies have been established every month,” stated the First Credit Bureau on its Telegram channel.

In September, most of the newly registered Chinese companies specialized in trade (+123), manufacturing (+34), and other services (+31).

Uzbekistan ranks second after China, with 167 new companies added during the same period.

Although China topped the list for monthly growth, it still trails behind Russia and Uzbekistan in the total number of companies operating in Kazakhstan. Despite 22 Russian companies leaving the country in September, Russia still leads with 23,100 companies, followed by Uzbekistan with 7,400.
