On September 24, an attack was carried out on the regional office of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Dallas, reports Adyrna.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, a man shot and killed one detainee, injured two others, and then turned the gun on himself. Initially, police reported that two people had been killed.

Authorities stated that the attacker fired from the roof of a neighboring building. FBI Director Kash Patel posted photos of shell casings found with the shooter, one of which had “ANTI–ICE” written on it.

“The investigation is ongoing, but initial evidence indicates that this crime was ideologically motivated,” Patel said.

U.S. President Donald Trump also commented on Truth Social, blaming “left-wing radicals” for such crimes.

“As it turned out, the shooter had written ‘Anti-ICE’ on the cartridges. This is disgusting! The brave men and women of ICE are simply doing their jobs, trying to remove the most dangerous individuals from the country. But they are facing unprecedented threats, violence, and attacks from left-wing radicals,” Trump wrote.

The president also recalled that he had designated the Antifa movement as a terrorist organization and announced he would sign an executive order this week to “eliminate all terrorist networks in the United States.”

Police received a report of the shooting at around 6:40 a.m. at the ICE office in northwest Dallas. The attacker was later found dead on the roof of a neighboring building.

This was the third attack this year on a Department of Homeland Security facility in Texas. In July, an officer was shot dead at the ICE detention center in Prairie Land. In addition, a 27-year-old resident opened fire at a U.S. Border Patrol station in McAllen.
