An academic edition of “The History of Kazakhstan” will be published

The manuscript of the first volume of the multi-volume work “The History of Kazakhstan: From Ancient Times to the Present” has been approved and a decision has been made to prepare it for publication, reports the national portal “Adyrna”.

State Counselor Erlan Karin announced on his social media page that a regular meeting of the editorial board for the academic edition of The History of Kazakhstan had taken place. During the meeting, the first volume of the work on the country’s history was officially approved through a general vote.

The content of the second volume, dedicated to the Turkic era, was also discussed. The head of the team of authors, Doctor of Historical Sciences and academician Bolat Komekov, delivered a presentation highlighting the key concepts and scientific methodologies used.

The project involves prominent historians and scholars of Kazakhstan, including Doctors of Historical Sciences and academicians Mambet Koigeldiev, Orazak Smagulov, Erkin Abyl, Aibolat Koshkimbayev, and Galina Ksenzhik, who provided reviews and significant scientific insights.

In addition, members of the editorial board — Meruert Abuseitova, Burkitbai Ayagan, Aigul Saduakassova, Zhaksylyk Sabitov, Radik Temirgaliev, Dikhan Kamzabekuly, Akan Ongar, Kulgazira Baltabaeva, Nursan Alimbai, Ziyabek Kabuldinov, and Zhaken Taymangambetov — shared their thoughts on the project.

As a result of the meeting, it was recommended that work continue on refining the second volume. It was also decided that the third volume, which will cover the medieval period, would be reviewed at the next session.
