At the ongoing IDEF 2025 – 17th International Defense Industry Fair in Istanbul, Turkey officially unveiled its first hypersonic ballistic missile – the TAYFUN BLOK-4, reports Adyrna national portal.

The missile was developed by ROKETSAN. It stands out for its impressive range of up to 3,000 kilometers and is designed to destroy operational-strategic targets, command centers, storage facilities, airfields, and air defense systems.

ROKETSAN CEO Murat İkinci stated that this product marks a significant milestone in Turkey’s ballistic missile technology:

“TAYFUN BLOK-4 is a member of the TAYFUN missile family, featuring hypersonic speed, a length of 10 meters, a weight of 7,200 kg, and maximum braking effect. This project is now entering mass production,” he said.

General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, emphasized the system’s importance for national defense:

“We plan to integrate this missile into military service by the end of this year. It will be the Turkish Armed Forces’ first operational experience with a ballistic missile. Its speed and range will make it one of our key strategic deterrence assets,” he said.

The introduction of the TAYFUN BLOK-4 signals a new phase in Turkey’s defense industry and underscores the country’s growing competitiveness in missile and space technologies.
