President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev awarded a number of individuals with state honors for their significant contributions to the development of national journalism, according to Adyrna.
By Presidential Decree No. 226 dated June 24, 2025, the following awards in the field of mass media were presented:
The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Prize in the Field of Mass Media:
1. Talgat Batyrkhan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper
2. Talgat Kyrykbayev, Director of AIQYN-LITER LLP
3. Yuliya Mager, Section Editor of Kazakhstan Pravda newspaper
4. Armangul Toktamyurat, Chief Editor at Qazaqstan National TV Channel
The President’s Grant in the Field of Mass Media:
1. Zarina Bekkalieva, Chief Editor at Kokshe TV channel
2. Kunsaya Kurmet-Rakhimova, Correspondent at Jibek Joly / Silk Way TV channel
3. Abai Tilenshiev, Author and Host of the Abay Live YouTube channel
4. Alina Shashkina, Correspondent at Tengrinews.kz
The President’s Letter of Appreciation in the Field of Mass Media:
1. The editorial team of Ana Tili newspaper
2. The creative team of Balapan TV channel
3. The creative team of Soltustik Qazaqstan newspaper
4. The team of Khabar Agency JSC
During the event, veteran journalist Sharkhan Kazygul, Kazakhstan Pravda section head Yuliya Mager, and Khabar TV presenter Gulnaziya Zaripova delivered speeches.
The President also took a group photo with the award recipients.
