At the media forum held in the city of Shusha, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan is ready to take international action regarding the AZAL airline plane crash, Adyrna national portal reports, citing Minval.kz.

According to the president, the details of the air crash near Aktau are clear. However, Baku has not received a concrete response from the Russian side for seven months. Aliyev described this as a “counterproductive position” and said that Azerbaijan has sufficient evidence regarding the incident. The country’s leadership is prepared to defend its position in international institutions.

The president compared the case to the crash of the Malaysian Boeing aircraft and emphasized that Azerbaijan is ready to wait as long as necessary to prove the truth.

Earlier, Minval published a letter allegedly written by a Russian military officer, stating that the plane flying over Grozny was shot down by order of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In his remarks, Aliyev also addressed the people of Ukraine, urging them not to accept territorial losses.

“We relied on international law and the four resolutions of the UN Security Council. But we were always told to ‘accept the reality.’ So we created a new reality ourselves,” he said.
