U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American aviation forces had carried out successful airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, according to the “Adyrna” national portal.
He made the statement on June 21 via his Truth Social account.
“We have successfully completed strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. All aircraft are now outside Iranian airspace,” said the U.S. President.
“The main target — Fordow — was hit with a full load of bombs. All aircraft returned home safely. Congratulations to our great American soldiers. No other military in the world could do this. Now it’s time for peace!” he added.
In another post on Truth Social, Trump called the event a historic moment for the United States, Israel, and the entire world. He also stated, “Iran must now agree to end this war.”
Trump did not specify which types of bombs were used in the operation. The White House and the Pentagon have yet to release detailed information.
Previously, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei had warned, “Any U.S. intervention could lead to full-scale war in the region.”
Trump had earlier approved plans for a military strike against Iran, although the exact timing had not been disclosed.
