Alikhan Smailov has been appointed Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, informed during the sitting of the Majilis, Adyrna correspondent reports.
Deputies discussed Alikhan Smailov's candidacy and recognized Smailov as worthy of the post of Prime Minister.
On January 5, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree resigning the government. Alikhan Smailov has been temporarily appointed Prime Minister.
