The asteroid will be seen in the Southern Hemisphere as a star passing through Australia, the Indian Ocean and the equator of Africa, according to the national portal Adyrna.
The large and dangerous asteroid Apophis will approach the Earth a few years later, on April 13, 2029.
The 340-meter-wide celestial body is only 31,000 kilometers from our planet, which is closer than the location of geostationary satellites. The brightness of the object is so strong that it can be seen by about two billion people, writes lenta.ru.

Researchers previously believed that Apophis could collide with the Earth, and even though they knew there was no danger, they did not rule out the possibility that the Earth's gravity would cause a collision, but scientists have not confirmed this result.
Apophis belongs to the category of potentially dangerous asteroids - their orbits bring them closer to Earth now and in future centuries, - explained Richard Binzel, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.
