Our compatriot Zhansaya Abdumalik won the four-time world champion at the World Online Chess Olympiad, Express Qazaqstan reports.

About 1,500 athletes from more than 160 countries are taking part in the online tournament in Nur-Sultan. The two-stage tournament is organized on a special game platform, where participants compete against each other.

Each team must have six players. Each batch is given 15 minutes and each move is given 5 seconds. Kazakhstan is competing in the top division. Our group includes China, Romania, Indonesia, Georgia, Mongolia, Greece, Iran, Australia, and Armenia. Two teams from each group will advance to the finals.

Today Kazakhstani chess players met with China and won. Zhansaya Abdumalik, a member of the national team, defeated 27-year-old Chinese, four-time world champion Hou Ifan. The Chinese girl became the best in the world in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2016.
