Kazakhstan will resume regular flights to the Maldives from October 4, Adyrna correspondent reports.

From October 4, Air Astana will resume regular flights on the route Almaty - Male. Four flights a week. B767 and A321LR aircraft will be piloted.

The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development stressed that the increase in the number of flights to the Maldives would depend on the epidemiological situation and the decisions of the IAC.

The flights will be operated in strict compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements and in accordance with the schedule published on the airline's website.

On May 16, the Chief State Sanitary Inspector issued a decree "On strengthening measures to prevent the import of coronavirus from the Maldives to Kazakhstan." The next day, it became known that Air Astana had suspended flights from Almaty to the Maldives until May 31.
