The date of the early presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan has been announced, the national portal Adyrna reports citing 24.kg.
According to the decision of the CEC, the presidential election in the neighboring country will be held on January 10, 2021.
According to CEC Chairwoman Nurzhan Shaildabekova, according to the law, if the Jogorku Kenesh does not call early presidential elections within a week after the termination of the powers of the head of state, they are officially appointed the next day after this period.
"After that, the election commission will officially announce the election day within two days. According to the law, they must be held within three months after the termination of the President's powers - until January 16, 2021, "Nurzhan Shaildabekova said.
