A Vietnamese company has expressed interest in Kyzylorda Airport. This was announced today, May 8, by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Bakaev, according to Adyrna.
He emphasized that the airport is a strategic facility and such assets are not sold outright.
“We attract advanced technologies and companies that can help us improve services, including at airports, both technologically and administratively. Negotiations are already underway with the Vietnamese side. However, this does not mean that the airport is being sold,” Alibek Bakaev explained during a Senate session.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin stated that the Vietnamese SOVICO Group might either purchase or take over the management of one of the airports in Kazakhstan.
