The strongman from Shymkent, Artyk Dosaliyev, has set a new national record in Kazakhstan. According to 24kz, as reported by the “Adyrna” national portal, the 52-year-old athlete pulled wagons weighing a total of 120 tons over a distance of 21 meters and 40 centimeters.

Before confirming the record, an official representative of the Kazakhstan Book of Records checked the level of the railway track, the weight of the load, and measured the distance. After verifying all the conditions, the achievement was officially recognized, and a certificate was awarded.

Artyk Dosaliyev dedicated this feat to honoring the heroism and memory of his warrior ancestors on the eve of Victory Day. He mentioned that he trained for a full year to achieve this result. He is a five-time world champion, and a two-time medalist in both European and Asian competitions in this type of sport. He encouraged young people to lead a healthy lifestyle.

“On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, I intended to set such a record and pay tribute to our heroic ancestors. Next year, I plan to pull 6, 7, 10, or even 20 wagons,” said the powerlifting world champion Artyk Dosaliyev.

Bakytzhan Tastulekov, an official representative of the Kazakhstan Book of Records, expressed his amazement at the new achievement.

“We are witnessing a record never before seen in Kazakhstan. We checked the track’s flatness beforehand. He pulled it for 21 meters and 40 centimeters. The total weight was 120 tons,” said Bakytzhan Tastulekov.
