Former U.S. President Donald Trump will not run for a third presidential term. He stated this in an interview with NBC, reports an Adyrna correspondent.
“I will be president for eight years, just two terms. I’ve always considered that a very important decision,” he said.
Trump noted that many people want him to take part in the 2028 presidential election.
“As far as I know, it’s not allowed. I’m not going to do that,” he added.
Previously, there had been discussions in the U.S. about amending the Constitution to allow Trump to run for a third term. The president himself had also expressed a positive view of the proposal.
