An oil refinery caught fire after a drone attack in Saratov, reports the national portal “Adyrna,” citing ArbatMedia.
The incident occurred on the night of February 11. According to eyewitnesses, a fire broke out in the refinery area. However, this information has not been officially confirmed.
The Saratov Oil Refinery is one of the oldest enterprises in Russia, formerly known as the “Kreking” plant. It is currently part of the “Rosneft” company.
The regional governor confirmed that the drone attack damaged an industrial facility in the city but did not specify which one. According to him, air defense forces destroyed the drones, and emergency services are working at the sites where the debris fell.
There is currently no information about casualties or injuries.
Saratov is a region bordering western Kazakhstan.
