Russian President Vladimir Putin does not plan to make a statement regarding the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) passenger plane near Aktau. This was reported by the president’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, according to The Moscow Times, cited by Adyrna.
“There are no plans to make a statement on the topic of the crash in the near future,” he briefly responded.
Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev demanded that Russia acknowledge its responsibility and punish those guilty of the incident. Additionally, media reports indicated that Azerbaijan was preparing to take Russia to an international court.
For reference, the Embraer ERJ 190-100 passenger plane crashed near Aktau on December 25 last year. The accident resulted in the deaths of 38 people, including six Kazakhstani citizens, 25 Azerbaijanis, and seven Russians.
