North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has commented on the war in Ukraine, reports the national portal “Adyrna,” citing RIA Novosti.
He accused the U.S. and Western countries of prolonging the conflict and attempting to bring about a strategic defeat for Russia.
Kim Jong Un declared that Pyongyang consistently supports Russia, emphasizing that this stance aligns with the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement” between the two countries. The North Korean leader described Moscow and the Russian people’s efforts to defend their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity as a just struggle.
Additionally, he announced plans to strengthen North Korea’s deterrence capabilities, including its nuclear arsenal. According to Kim Jong Un, the military alliance between the U.S., Japan, and South Korea, along with the deployment of U.S. nuclear strategic forces on the Korean Peninsula, disrupts regional stability.
It is worth noting that North Korea and Russia signed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement in June 2024.
