“Our fellow countryman and brother, Tolen Toqtasynov, born in Semey, worked tirelessly for the people’s well-being and played a significant role in the country’s progress. He later became a Member of Parliament and a prominent politician, establishing himself as a key figure in Kazakhstan.
Tolen Toqtasynov was one of the 11 deputies who addressed land issues in the early 2000s. He was a true public figure. It is heartwarming to see that his fellow countrymen, friends, and relatives from Semey are organizing this chess tournament in his memory.
I would like to thank everyone involved in organizing the tournament and the participants. May your efforts continue to be fruitful!” said Nurlanbek Toqtabayev.
