Chelsea will pay €4.3 million for Kairat Almaty’s 16-year-old striker Dastan Satbayev, sports journalist Ivan Karpov reported, according to the national portal “Adyrna.”
The deal is considered a record figure in the history of Kazakh football.
The five-year contract will take effect in August 2026, when Satbayev turns 18.
€2.4 million is a fixed payment, while the remainder consists of bonuses tied to his performances at Kairat, Chelsea, or any other club he might be loaned to.
The London football club will sign Satbayev to a five-year deal, effective in August 2026, when he reaches 18 years of age.
Top European clubs such as RB Salzburg, Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica, and Real Sociedad also competed for Satbayev, but Chelsea was persistent in securing the young talent.
Notably, Kairat player Nurali Alip was sold to Zenit for €2 million, while Astana sold Patrick Twumasi to Alaves for €3 million.
