Former Kazakhstan national team footballer David Loria has been appointed Vice President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF), according to the KFF press service, as reported by the national portal “Adyrna.”
It should be noted that an extraordinary election for the new president of the KFF took place in December. David Loria was one of the candidates for the top football position, but he withdrew his candidacy a day before the vote and supported Marat Omarov. Marat Omarov, the 36-year-old head of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition, won the majority of votes and became the new president of the KFF.
Throughout his career, David Loria played for clubs such as “Zhenis,” “Esil,” “Shakhtyor,” “Halmstad” (Sweden), “Spartak-Nalchik” (Russia), “Astana,” “Irtysh,” “Rizespor” (Turkey), “Kairat,” “Karşıyaka” (Turkey), and “Ordabasy.” He made 47 appearances for the Kazakhstan national team, setting a record among goalkeepers.
In 1999, he participated in the World Youth Championship in Nigeria as part of the Kazakhstan youth team. After retiring from his playing career, he held executive positions at FC “Astana,” the Astana Football Federation, and the “Super Bol” project. From 2019 to 2022, he studied sports management under the UEFA MIP – UEFA Executive Master for International Players program.
