Bakhtiyar Artayev has been appointed as the Head of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Kyzylorda Region, reports the national portal Adyrna.
The regional governor, Nurlbek Nalibayev, introduced Artayev during a meeting focused on socio-economic indicators and personnel changes.
“Before we begin today’s session, let me address the recent personnel changes. The President has tasked us with comprehensively reforming the sports sector to develop grassroots, children’s, and youth sports. For this, we need skilled professionals, strong leaders, and top managers.
With the approval of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Agency for Civil Service Affairs, Bakhtiyar Garifollauly Artayev has been appointed as the head of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Kyzylorda Region.
Bakhtiyar Garifollauly is a highly skilled specialist and an excellent manager well known to everyone here. He has made an enormous contribution to the development of sports. He is an Olympic champion, having won gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics, a Val Barker Trophy winner, an international master of sports, an honored master of sports of Kazakhstan, and a seven-time boxing champion of Kazakhstan,” said Nalibayev.
