The President was briefed on the work carried out by the NOC and its plans for the future. “Gennady Golovkin spoke about measures taken in collaboration with the sectoral ministry to improve sports infrastructure, ensure thorough preparation of Kazakhstani athletes, and enhance the country’s reputation on the international stage,” the statement said. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the important tasks facing the NOC in promoting and strengthening Olympic sports. According to the President, it is necessary to improve the performance of national teams in global competitions. The Head of State also congratulated Gennady Golovkin on his appointment as Chairman of the Olympic Commission of the International Boxing Federation (World Boxing).
