President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state visit to France has concluded, reports the Adyrna national portal, citing the Akorda press service.
A formal farewell ceremony was held for the Kazakh President at Orly Airport, where a Guard of Honor was formed, and the national anthems of both countries were played.
The French Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu and other officials saw off the President.
Before his departure, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended a state reception at the Élysée Palace hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron. Tokayev expressed his gratitude to Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, for the warm hospitality and friendship extended to the Kazakh delegation.
The state reception was attended by members of the French government, notable politicians, business leaders, and representatives of the scientific and diplomatic communities, as well as prominent cultural and sports figures from both nations.
At the end of the evening, Emmanuel Macron introduced Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Alexis Lebrun, the bronze medalist in table tennis at the Paris Olympics. Tokayev joined Lebrun for a table tennis match.
