Residents of Almaty felt an earthquake. According to the city’s Emergency Department, the epicenter is being determined, reports the Adyrna national portal.
“The network of seismic stations from the National Scientific Seismological Monitoring Center is clarifying information on the epicenter and the intensity of the tremor,” the department stated.
Relevant state agencies have been notified, and monitoring is underway to assess any damage to buildings and the operation of essential infrastructure. The Ministry of Emergency Situations’ “Seismological Research Institute” recorded the earthquake on November 5 at 10:01 am. The tremor was registered in both Almaty city and Almaty region.
