President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev took part in the solemn event organized on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the oil industry of Kazakhstan and congratulated the workers of the industry. Akorda announced this, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"As you all know, Kazakh oil was extracted from the Atyrau region for the first time at the turn of the century. Since then, this industry has been playing a special role in the country's economy. Our people also call oil "black gold". The development of the world was closely related to energy resources. Power sources have had a special influence on the development of science and technology. Undoubtedly, the production of black gold in the Kazakh territory contributed a lot to this process, - said the Head of State.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed out that the oil industry of Kazakhstan has its own history and tradition, and noted that well-known people of our country have contributed a lot to its formation and development.
