A man wanted for 20 years was arrested in Astana. This was announced by polisia.kz, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to the information, Almaty district police officers arrested a 53-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation, who has been wanted interstate for more than 20 years for committing fraud in the territory of the neighboring state.
"The suspect first fled to Kyrgyzstan, and from there he came to his relatives in Astana. As a result of urgent search measures, the man was found in the attic of the house," the report said.
Currently, the issue of his extradition to Russia is being resolved.
