Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Defense Minister of the People's Republic of China Dong Jun. Akorda announced this, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev paid tribute to the Minister of Defense of the People's Republic of China Dong Jun, who came to Kazakhstan on an official visit, and emphasized his contribution to the strengthening of good neighborliness, friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.
The President drew attention to the fact that Kazakh-Chinese relations are at a high level, that is, an eternal and comprehensive strategic partnership has been established.
According to the head of state, within the framework of multilateral structures, Kazakhstan and China have similar views on the main issues of regional and international security.
"We have been establishing a constructive dialogue and supporting each other within the framework of the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Council for Cooperation and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia. We also highly appreciate and support China's proposed initiatives related to global development, global security and civilization. I believe that these initiatives will make a positive contribution to the strengthening of the current system of security in the world," said the president.
In turn, Defense Minister of the People's Republic of China Dong Jun thanked the head of state for his hospitality and noted that the meeting of defense ministers of the SCO member countries was held at a high level.
