Farmers in flood-affected areas may not be able to start the planting season on time. Deputy Arman Otegulov said about this at the general meeting of the Senate, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

The deputy noted that the current situation requires urgent action. Because every day of spring is food for the year. Every day is important in providing food for our entire country.

"Since the flooded lands belong to grain growing regions, there are questions about the proper conduct of the spring sowing campaign. Even now there is a risk of extending the period of planting crops. And, the situation of garden, vegetable growers, cottage companies is very bad. We see that their equipment, irrigation systems and transformers were damaged, greenhouses were destroyed, and their fields were flooded. According to the latest data, about 200 tons of seed warehouses were flooded in Aktobe, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions. "Unfortunately, the Ministry of Agriculture has not yet provided accurate information about the flooded fields in the country," said Arman Otegulov in his question to the head of the government, Olzhas Bektenov.
