The Ministry of Education said how the change of the uniform time zone in Kazakhstan will affect the start time of classes in schools, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
If necessary, the starting time of the lessons will be revised for the students of the first shift, Minister of Education Gani Beysembaev said. The department leaves the final decision to the city administrations.
"Regarding the hours of study, we allow the local executive bodies to reconsider the start time of classes if necessary. There are no obstacles here. For example, schools that start at 8:00 a.m. may change to an 8:30 a.m. start. Of course, there will be opportunities," said Beysembayev.
