The delegation of the Taldykorgan NIS of physics and mathematics returned from Qatar. In Doha, at the XVI international conference MODEL UNITED NATIONS, organized by Georgetown University, students of the Intellectual School represented the country.
At this year's massive youth forum, more than 650 participants from 108 countries pretended to be UN diplomats to discuss solutions to some of the world's most pressing problems.
The team from Kazakhstan included 42 students from NIS Semey, Almaty, Kostanay, Pavlodar and NIS Taldykorgan.
As a result of the conference, NIS Taldykorgan 12th grade student Eskendir Zhansengir was awarded the “Delegate with Outstanding Diplomatic Skills” nomination from the Secretary General of Georgetown University Nagla Abdelhady, as well as from the Education Development Manager at GU-Q Jibin Koshy.
