Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov stated that it was impossible to restrict freedom of speech in the republic. However, there are those who are interested in destabilizing the situation and create a critical attitude towards the government among the people through propaganda. In an interview with "Kabar" publication, he expressed his opinion about the situation of the journalists of the "Temirov Live" online project, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

Sadyr Japarov called such people who hide behind the word "freedom of speech" and do what they want as "false patriots".

"Propaganda activities aimed at developing critical thinking among the population are being actively conducted. This is contrary to our statehood, religion, and traditions. Spreading false information, attempts to slander someone have increased," the politician noted.

A few hours later, the "Kabar" agency changed the text of Japarov's interview and removed the words "propaganda aimed at developing critical thinking among the people".
