Today is National Publication Day. Last year, the Ministry of Information and Social Development approved this day as a special date in honor of the 110th anniversary of "Kazakh" newspaper, which was born on February 2, 1913. This year, this special day will be celebrated for the first time.
Kazakhstan began celebrating the National Press Day when the rating of freedom of expression decreased.
According to Abay Myrzagali, a researcher of the first Kazakh press and textbooks, "Kazakh" newspaper was one of the publications that brought impetus to the history of the press.
