The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev congratulated the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov on the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Alliance Relations between the two countries. Akorda announced this, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
"The agreement of 2003 marks the beginning of a new period in the development of Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations. A solid contractual and legal basis has been laid for effective promotion of our multilateral interstate relations. Active political dialogue at all levels, rapid development of cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as close cooperation of the two countries in the international arena are clear evidence of this," the telegram reads.
Kassym-zhomart Tokayev expressed confidence that thanks to joint efforts, the strategic partnership and alliance relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will further strengthen, and the enormous potential of bilateral cooperation will continue to serve for the benefit of the brotherly nations.
