The construction of a new Darbaza-Maktaaral railway line in the direction of Uzbekistan with a length of 152 km has begun in the Turkestan region. This was announced by the press service of NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
Prime Minister Alikhan Smayilov officially started work on the telebridge mode. And the large infrastructure project is being implemented on the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and is aimed at further development of the transport and transit potential of the republic. As part of it, a new checkpoint will be opened across the Kazakh-Uzbek state border.
