The Court of Appeal changed the sentence of former banker Orifjan Shadiev and his assistant Mikhail Solovyov. This was stated by the press service of the Almaty City Court, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.
On July 21, businessman Shadiev was found guilty of abuse of authority. It cost Asia Credit Bank about 16 billion tenge. The oligarch pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 1.5 years. And Mikhail Solovyov, who helped him, partially confessed his guilt and was sentenced to 1 year in prison.
The appellate stage changed the sentences of the two defendants to probation.
