Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted that the military pilots were killed during the rebellion of the private military company "Wagner", reports the correspondent of "Adyrna".
"The bravery of the killed pilots saved our country," the leader said in his speech on the air of "First Channel".
The head of state thanked the mercenaries who made the right decision and retreated.
"We thank you. We recommend signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia and visiting your relatives or Belarus. My promise will be fulfilled. The choice is yours. But I am sure that this will be the choice of Russian soldiers who have realized their tragic mistake," Putin said.
The president also noted that the steps to prevent bloodshed were taken under his direct instructions.
