Reeds are burning in the Ile-Balkash valley, reports the national portal "Adyrna" with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"A 150-hectare area is burning in the territory of the Ile-Balkhash reserve (islands with no access roads and swampy terrain with low accessibility). The total area of the fire was about 6,200 hectares, of which 6,050 hectares were extinguished.
The forces of TJD and "Ile-Balkash" MTR" RMM are carrying out extinguishing works on a preliminary forecast of 150 ha in the 6th quarter in the north-western part of the city, using manual digging tools and motor pumps. Also, in order to prevent the spread of fire in Bakanas forestry areas, Forestry forces started plowing the land.
There is no threat to settlements.
The images of space monitoring spread on social networks have lost their relevance today.
"Meteorological conditions: sunny, without precipitation, air temperature +24 C, wind speed from the north direction is 2 m/s," the report said.
