The unemployment rate in the Syr region was 4.9 percent. Governor of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev said this at a briefing held at the Central Communications Service in Astana.
"Employing people, opening new jobs is one of our main tasks. According to the President's order to create 100 new jobs for 10 thousand people, more than 12 thousand jobs were created in the region last year, and the annual plan was fulfilled by 263 percent. As a result, the general unemployment rate decreased by 4.9 percent, youth unemployment decreased by 4 percent," said the head of the region.
It should be noted that this year the "Regional Employment Roadmap" was approved in Kyzylorda region, and it is planned to reduce the indicator to 4.8 percent.
