The head of state received the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Margareta Cederfelt. The press service of Akorda wrote about this, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, paying tribute to Margareta Sederfelt, noted that her visit is important for strengthening relations between Kazakhstan and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
The President drew attention to the fact that parliamentary diplomacy helps to strengthen relations between states and people. He also spoke about the implementation of large-scale political and economic changes.
Margareta Cederfelt said that she supports the ongoing reforms in Kazakhstan and that the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is following the systematic transformation of the main political institutions with special interest.
During the meeting, topical issues of Astana International Forum (AIF), as well as regional and global agenda were discussed.
