At the world championship in tennis under 14 years of age, which ended in the city of Prosteev, Czech Republic, the youth national team of Kazakhstan placed in the top four, the national portal "Adirna" reported.
As reported by the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation, despite the fact that it was the first time that Kazakhstani youths took part in such a competition, they performed on par with the best teams in the world. In the group competition, they defeated the world champions - Italy and reached the quarter-finals.
Thus, the youth team of Kazakhstan took the fourth place. After the World Championship, the President of the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation, Bolat Utemuratov, noted that Kazakhstan's young tennis players showed themselves as real fighting players and achieved a historic result.
