Counterfeit banknotes were put into circulation through currency exchange offices of the capital, filling out personal accounts through ATMs, as well as depositing them in personal accounts at the OLIMPBET bookmaker's office.
"The court sentenced AA Zhomart, IH Chekiev, RA Imanbaev and BE Toleutai to 5 years probation, ”the press service of the agency said.
In this regard, the Financial Monitoring Agency advised citizens to be careful and not to buy foreign currency from strangers. In case of detection of counterfeit banknotes, you should immediately contact the hotline.
